In a historic ceremony at the iconic Gandhi Maidan, JD(U) supremo Nitish Kumar has been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for a record 10th time today.
The event marks the beginning of a new innings for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state, following a landslide victory in the 2025 Bihar Assembly Elections where the alliance secured a massive 202 seats out of 243.
Key Highlights of the Ceremony
The Venue: Unlike recent quiet ceremonies at Raj Bhavan, this grand event returned to Gandhi Maidan, witnessing a massive turnout of supporters.
Top Attendees: The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP President J.P. Nadda, and several Chief Ministers from NDA-ruled states.
Deputy CMs: BJP leaders Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha also took the oath, continuing their key roles in the state leadership alongside Kumar.
The New Cabinet: Who Else Took Oath?
Along with the Chief Minister, a team of 26 ministers was sworn in to the new cabinet today. The council of ministers reflects the social engineering of the NDA coalition, balancing representation from the BJP, JD(U), LJP (Ram Vilas), and other allies like HAM(S) and RLM.
